Dr. Gunay Kazimzade holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Berlin on AI governance. Her work spans multiple German multinational companies (Siemens Energy, Mercedes-Benz, Zalando), academia, government and policy institutions, as an executive advisor in AI. She has been recognised with the German Informatics Society’s AI Newcomer Award and a Presidential Award in Azerbaijan. She is an expert recognised by the Council of Europe and other international organisations, served as a contributor to its Ad-Hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence during the drafting of the first binding international AI legislation, and has published at ACM AIES, CHI, AAAI and other venues. She is the founder of multiple women-in-tech initiatives, a TEDx speaker with over 300 speaking engagements across 40 countries, and designs and delivers executive programmes on AI leadership and governance across Europe.
